Tokenized Text Font + Unnecessary Hint Screen
#3

1. The tokenized text stimulus is in a "fixed-width" font as opposed to the "variable-width" fonts that regular text is in. This is because we want to maintain a visual stability when the words are gradually revealed as the masks disappear from the screen. If we use the regular variable-width font, the whole sentence would act like a caterpillar moving forward - it expands and contracts in an odd way. I don't know this makes sense! Smile

2. There seems to be some questions here. First of all, you can turn off the hint if that's needed: https://docs.findingfive.com/en/grammar/..._text#hint

You may also want to try "mode": "masked" which might make the whole experience less jarring? https://docs.findingfive.com/en/grammar/..._text#mode

Let us know if you have further questions!

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

1. Got it. The caterpillar situation sounds undesirable!

2. I am attaching a screenshot of what I am referring to.
This blank white screen shows up before any text, which is useless to my participants. Is there any way to remove it and just begin right away with text on the screen?
