Hi everyone,
I have noticed recently that my FF experiment does not run properly on Google Chrome anymore.
I have image stimuli and they simply do not appear on the screen, although I am still able to give responses and proceed with the experiment. The same problem has happened to me when running the experiment on Safari, but Chrome used to work perfectly until now.
Do you know if this problem can be fixed?
Thank you for your help!

Hello Chiara,
Sorry to hear you're having issues! I personally cannot replicate the issue on Chrome with images, and we have not heard any other reports at this time. I have a few questions for you (if you aren't comfortable sharing any of the information here, please feel free to send me a private message or email us at
[email protected]).
- Are these basic image stimuli, or tokenized image stimuli?
- Is the problem occurring during preview of your experiment, or a live production session?
- Where are you located (broadly speaking)?
- What version of Chrome are you using?
- Did you recently install any new Chrome extensions / plugins? If so, which ones?
In addition, if you add
[email protected] as a collaborator with editing permissions to your study, we will be happy to take a look and see if we can uncover anything.
We look forward to getting to the bottom of this!

Hello again Chiara,
Unfortunately, I do not seem to be able to replicate the issues you've described. Are you still encountering the issue? If so, is it happening all the time or only some of the time? Does it happen for all images, or only some images? Does it happen when you preview individual blocks, or only if you preview the entire experiment? Perhaps you can do a screen recording of the issue to share? Any additional information you can provide may prove useful.
At this point I have previewed a sample of trials from several blocks from various stages of the experiment, as well as the whole experiment up through the practice and into the training phase. So far, all images seem to appear as intended. Without replicating the issue, it will be difficult for us to identify a solution.
Keep us updated, and hopefully we can discover what is going on!
Best,
Noah Nelson
