Self-paced listening - syr.dkr - 04-05-2025

Hello,

I am working on a self-paced listening task and have a few questions regarding the process. I followed all the instructions given under tokenized audio, as it said that it can be used to create a self-paced listening task. However, when I try to preview the experiment, it doesn't actually play the sounds. There is a progression bar which does show that the next audio is being played but no sound actually comes out. This is weird because the audios do play in the stimuli window but not in the experiment. What could be the issue?

Hello syr.dkr,

If you add me as a collaborator to your study ([email protected]) I'd be happy to take a look for you!

Otherwise I would check to make sure you don't have any properties set that could prevent tokens from playing, such as self_paced: false with a too-fast presentation speed, etc.

Cheers,
Noah

Hello syr.dkr,

Your study is set up perfectly. It turns out this was due to a bug, so thank you so much for reporting! We have a fix in place that will take effect tomorrow (10 April 2025). Please follow up and let us know whether the fix resolves all your issues!

Best,
